Pre-K and Kinder Prep Student Life Milestones at OHCS
Kinder Prep
Kinder Prep provides children their first formal educational experience, fostering tremendous growth intellectually, socially, and spiritually. Students develop greater independence and school readiness.
Teachers guide children in learning letter recognition, sounds, vocabulary, numbers, counting, sorting, following directions, and how to present to classmates. Christian values such as self-control, honor, wisdom, and stewardship are used to help shape individual character. Students gain essential skills to flourish in Kindergarten and begin realizing their unique God-given gifts.

Pre-K (3-Year-Olds)
Pre-K marks an introduction to school routines and early learning concepts. Pre-K students learn to share, follow directions, communicate needs, and regulate behavior and emotions appropriately. Academically, pre-literacy foundations are established as students identify letters, sounds, colors, shapes, and numbers. Early mathematical thinking also develops through counting, sorting, and comparing quantities. Curious minds blossom as pre-K students engage in observation, exploration, and discovery.
