Oak Harbor Christian School has been providing high quality Christian education for over 85 years! Throughout this time, we have positively impacted the lives of hundreds of students that have gone on to excel not only academically, but in character and life.
Continuing this ongoing legacy means we continue to provide a safe and healthy environment inside and out of the classroom with small class sizes, giving students more individualized attention. This leads to more interaction between students and teachers. In addition we provide high quality curricula with exceptional academic standards that increase student participation; ensure students are able to learn, engage and perform to the best of their abilities. We encourage and challenge our students to be the best version of themselves they can be; discovering a life of meaning, physical and mental health, and an ever-growing faith.
Teachers, school staff, and volunteers are all deeply committed to the life of our students. Our school community provides loving support for them and their families. We offer many opportunities for them to relate with each other, through events and activities for both students and parents. We are one family, and our students belong here!

The History of Oak Harbor Christian School
Oak Harbor Christian School was founded in 1938 by parents of the Oak Harbor Christian Reformed Church who were looking for a Christian-based learning environment for their children.
The original location of the school was near the intersection of SR 20 and Pioneer Avenue. In 1954, the cornerstone to Building A was laid at the present site of 675 East Whidbey Avenue.
Growth and the needs of modern educational practices called for the construction of building B in 1984, and building C in 1991. In January 2005, our latest construction phase was completed incorporating building D to house elementary grade levels, the Library, the main conference room, and larger administrative offices.
